BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH stalwart Uwe Kamps is set for a dramatic Bundesliga return after The Foals lost their top two keepers through injury.

Monchengladbach are set to call upon veteran keeper Kamps for this weekend's clash with Stuttgart as Swiss international Jorg Stiel (pictured) suffered a torn muscle last week and his first-choice replacement, Bernd Maier, has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a split bone in his shin.

The 37-year-old Kamps has not played in the club's first team for nearly three years after suffering a series of injuries towards the end of his long career.

He arrived at Bokelberg Stadium in the 1982/83 season and has played 389 Bundesliga games for the former German champions.

Kamps has already announced that he will be hanging up his gloves at the end of the season to become a goalkeeping coach at Monchengladbach.
