Bundesliga outfit Arminia Bielefeld have offered Portuguese midfielder Roberto Pinto a contract at the Schuco Arena.
The 26-year-old former Stuttgart and Hertha Berlin player had been out of contract since leaving the capital city club in the summer.
But a trial period at Bielefeld's winter training camp in Spain has now proved sufficient to impress the club's management team.
Meanwhile, Arminia will continue to be without Ghanaian striker Isaac Boakye when they return to Bundesliga action against Borussia Monchengladbach on January 22.
The 23-year-old forward, who has missed most of the current season through injury, picked up a knee injury in Spain and has been forced to fly back to Germany early for treatment.
