Eintracht Frankfurt are keen to retain striker Joselu after a successful loan spell in 2013-14.
The Spain Under-21 international was Eintracht's top scorer in their Bundesliga campaign, notching nine goals in a season-long deal that saw him loaned out by parent club Hoffenheim.
The 24-year-old former Real Madrid forward has two years remaining on his contract with Hoffenheim, but Eintracht general manager Bruno Hubner is hopeful he will be at the Commerzbank Arena again next term.
"We have two or three players that we still have to go for," said Hubner, whose side finished 13th in the Bundesliga in the season just finished.
"In terms of Joselu I think we have a good chance. It may take time, but I am optimistic he is going to stay with us."
