Oscar insists Chelsea gave their all in failed quest to land the Club World Cup title, with Corinthians fully deserving of their success.

Tears

An outpouring of emotion from David Luiz at the final whistle showed just how much defeat meant to certain members of the Chelsea squad, with the Brazil international reduced to tears. He said afterwards: "I can only speak for myself, but I really felt this defeat. "I love playing football and I play to win. I have my own way of expressing myself and I was really sad after this defeat." Speaking to Brazilian website UOL Esporte, Piazon, who was an unused substitute, had said: "A lot of us were missing the desire to be champion. "I think Ramires and David Luiz, the Brazilians were the ones who gave the most, and now they are sad. "We lacked character. Nobody wanted to fight... "We went into a final without the will to win, and that's unacceptable." However, Piazon later clarified his comments on Twitter, writing: "All I said was that Corinthians had more courage to play the final than us, that they wanted more this title and that they played with more passion than us! "I would never say something about my team-mates, I'm just 18 and with them I learn a lot of good things." Don't miss any live and exclusive football coverage this festive season.
