Moller tells Jones to stay

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT'S veteran midfielder Andreas Moller has advised German Under-21 international star Jermaine Jones to stay at the Waldstadion.

The talented striker has already signed a deal with Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen from 2004, but Moller feels that a move will only be detrimental to his career.

"What's the point in him moving there?" Moller told SportBild.

"Jermaine needs to prove himself over three or four years in Die Bundesliga before moving to a top club.

"In Leverkusen he'll just find himself on the bench and that would be a disaster for his career."

The former Schalke and Dortmund star then advised Jones to "rip up" his contract at the BayArena.

Jones, however, may well see things differently after falling out with Eintracht coach Willi Reimann recently and being forced to play in the amateur team over the last couple of weeks.
