Borussia Dortmund will be without their Greek defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos for only a fortnight, even though he broke his fibular in Sunday's 1-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

Papastathopoulos was taken to hospital straight after Sunday's win after limping out of the encounter in the 83rd minute.

X-rays were carried out and they revealed a break of his fibular which the club doctor Markus Braun says was "not displaced", meaning the defender should be able to make a full recovery in just two weeks.

He will nevertheless miss Dortmund's next Bundesliga fixture with Paderborn due to suspension having picked up his fifth booking of the season on Sunday.

The 26-year-old, who will not now report for international duty with Greece, should be fit to face Arsenal in the Champions League on November 26, however.
