Transfer news: Marco Reus set for long Borussia Dortmund stay, says Jurgen Klopp

MARCO REUS: If the club are to retain their Champions League spot, they need to make a statement. This £40m man would supply the exclamation mark, too.

Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp says he is very confident that Marco Reus will stay at the cub for a long time.

Reus has been linked with a move away from Dortmund this summer after reportedly attracting attention from some of Europe’s top teams, including Manchester United and Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid were also rumoured to be interested but their president Enrique Cerezo last week ruled the Spanish side out of the running and claimed that Reus had turned down a move to Manchester United.

The 25-year-old remains under contract at Dortmund until 2017 and Klopp is convinced that he will continue to be a key part of the club’s future.

“I can tell you I have a great feeling regarding Marco Reus' future at Borussia Dortmund,” Klopp told Deutsche Presseagentur.

“Marco will definitely be around at our club for quite a while.”
