Freiburg defender Matthias Ginter says there will be no talks about his future until after the World Cup.

Ginter is under contract until June 2017 but had been keen to secure a move to Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund this summer.

However, Freiburg have made it clear they have no intention of letting the centre-back go for at least another year and Dortmund now appear ready to drop their interest.

Ginter is not sure what will happen next but wants to keep his focus on Germany’s World Cup campaign and will not consider his future until their involvement in Brazil is at an end.

"I am with the Germany squad and we have agreed there will be no talks about my future during the current World Cup tournament,” the 20-year-old told Badische Zeitung.

“Talking about my future right now wouldn't be good, since I would not be focused on our job then."
