Darijo Srna's agent claims the Croatian was a target for Tottenham Hotspur during Juande Ramos' reign.
Tottenham were linked with the Shakhtar Donetsk captain over the summer, and reports in recent weeks have suggested a renewed interest from the North London club.
But the player's agent Damir Stimac suggests that it was Ramos who was keen and now he has gone, the interest in the Croatian may have switched to Real Madrid - where the Spaniard is now in charge.
"The interest for Srna has significantly grown and intensified in the past six months. Anyway, we cannot talk about any official offers yet," Stimac told Jutarnji List.
"The interest from Tottenham dates while Juande Ramos was their manager.
"He appreciates Darijo a lot, but as you know he is not in Tottenham now, but on a much higher position as manager of Real Madrid.
"If Srna leaves Shahktar it would be only for some of the biggest European clubs."
