NAC Breda have agreed a deal to sign striker Matthew Amoah from Borussia Dortmund.

The former Vitesse Arnhem forward is leaving Dortmund after spending 18 months in the Bundesliga.

He failed to score in the league for Dortmund and has accepted a three-year contract to return to Dutch football with NAC.

Amoah will finalise the move upon completion of a medical and NAC are happy their hard work in trying to sign the Ghana international has come to fruition.

"We have been working on this deal for months," NAC technical director Earnie Stewart told the club's official website.

"First it looked like it was impossible for the player to sign, but this week negotiating went quicker."

Meanwhile, long-serving defender Rob Penders has signed a two-year extension to his contract in Breda.

Penders had a further 12 months to run on his deal, but the 31-year-old, who joined over seven years ago, will now stay until 2010.

In addition, NAC have welcomed back teenage forward Donny Gorter to the club after a four-year stay with PSV Eindhoven's youth academy.
