Borussia Dortmund have handed Cedric van der Gun a further chance to impress after extending his trial period by a week.The former Ajax forward is currently without a club and has been training with the Bundesliga outfit in a bid to earn a contract ahead of the new season.
The 26-year-old spent the last two seasons on loan with ADO Den Haag after failing to break through at the Amsterdam ArenA, and is feeling positive whilst awaiting a decision from the German side.
"Especially in terms of fitness it's going better and better," van der Gun told Haagsche Courant.
"Through that I can show something footballing, I find it positive that I can stay for a while.
"They could also have said 'Let it be, this isn't going to work'."
