Addo set for Mainz move

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Otto Addo is set to move to Bundesliga rivals Mainz.

The 29-year-old has agreed a two-year deal at the Bruchweg Stadion and will complete the free transfer after a medical.

The Ghanaian international's career has been blighted by injury in recent years, but Mainz coach Jurgen Klopp says he is certain that Addo will help his club establish themselves in the top flight after a successful first Bundesliga season.

‚Ç£Otto Addo is an extremely flexible attacking player, who played at an international level before his injuries. We want to give him the chance to get back to that level,‚Ç¥ Klopp said.

‚Ç£He is really looking forward to joining us. He has been aware of the development at this club over the past few years and wants to help us continue in the right direction."
