Borussia Dortmund midfielder Florian Kringe has signed a new contract at the Westfalenstadion.

The 22-year-old, who has starred for BVB since the winter break, has put pen-to-paper on a new deal tying him to the Schwarz-Gelben until 2008, Dortmund president Reinhard Rauball revealed on Monday.

Kringe joined Dortmund as a schoolboy, making his way through the club's youth teams before returning to the former European champions last summer after a two-year loan spell at Cologne.

Meanwhile, Rauball also confirmed that Dortmund have agreed terms with LR Ahlen goalkeeper Bernd Meier.

The 33-year-old former 1860 Munich custodian will replace Guillaume Warmuz as number two to Roman Weiderfeller at Dortmund next season.
