Aaron Hunt's agent expects to hold contract talks with Werder Bremen during the winter break after denying a deal has already been agreed with Wolfsburg.
Reports have claimed that Hunt, who is out of contract at Werder at the end of the season, will join Bundesliga rivals Wolfsburg next summer on a free transfer.
Hunt stated last month that he would talk to Werder in January and the club also confirmed their intention to discuss an extension with the 27-year-old.
The midfielder's representative Karl-Heinz Forster confirmed holding talks with Werder remains the priority after dismissing speculation of a deal with Wolfsburg.
"In terms of Aaron, Werder Bremen will remain the main partner of conversation regarding his expiring contract," Forster told BILD.
"I am sure there will be contract talks come the Bundesliga's winter break.
"There have not been any talks with Wolfsburg or any other club thus far. Those reports are pure speculation."
