Hoffenheim will not sign Wolfsburg's Patrick Ochs on a permanent deal following his loan spell at the club.
The 29-year-old full-back played 12 times for Hoffenheim, who avoided relegation with a play-off win over two legs against Kaiserslautern.
Ochs made nine starts for Wolfsburg in the season following his transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2011, moving to Hoffenheim for the start of the 2012-13 campaign.
He now returns to his parent club, who finished the season in 11th place in the Bundesliga.
"Patrick Ochs is returning to Vfl Wolfsburg, we will not be signing him permanently," said Hoffenheim director Alexander Rosen.
"We wish Patrick all the best for his future career, as we would like to thank him also for his efforts to help keep our club in the Bundesliga."
