Wolfsburg have confirmed media speculation that they are keen to bring Italian forward Fabrizio Miccoli to the Bundesliga.
The German press had recently claimed that the Wolves have set their sights on the Juventus striker - who is currently on loan with Portuguese giants Benfica.
Now director of sport Klaus Fuchs has revealed that the twice-capped Italian international features on their shopping list.
ǣYes, it's true, we are thinking about him since last summer, but nothing has been settled yetǥ Fuchs told Wolfsburger Nachrichten.
Miccoli is currently in his second season with Benfica and although the Portuguese outfit have still not made his stay permanent.
Wolfsburg are sure to face an uphill battle to lure the former Perugia and Fiorentina ace to the Volkswagen-Arena, given the fact that Benfica offers him the chance to play UEFA Champions League football, while Wolfsburg are stuck in mid-table mediocrity.
