VfL Wolfsburg reserve keeper Andre Lenz has signed a contract extension at the ambitious Bundesliga club.

Lenz joined the Wolves from relegated Bundesliga outfit 1860 Munich last summer and has now committed himself to the club until 2006.

The 31-year-old is still waiting for his Bundesliga debut for Wolfsburg but coach Erik Gerets is happy with the understudy to Germany international Simon Jentzsch.

‚Ç£Our coach is pleased with him and, with his open-minded character, he is a vital part of the squad,‚Ç¥ declared director of sport Thomas Strunz after Lenz put pen-to-paper on the new contract.

He spent just one season at 1860 before his switch to Wolfsburg, having previously been between the posts at Energie Cottbus.
