VFL Bochum are looking to strengthen their squad for next season with Kaiserslautern duo Aleksander Knavs and Vratislav Lokvenc.

Bochum coach Peter Neururer sees Slovenian international defender Knavs as the ideal replacement for Frank Fahrenhorst who will leave the Ruhrstadion for Werder Bremen in the summer.

German media reports claim that both clubs have already agreed a deal for the experienced stopper, whilst Knavs confirmed at the weekend that he is talking to Bochum about personal terms.

In addition, Neururer is reportedly hoping to bring giant Czech international striker Lokvenc (pictured) to Bochum.

His current contract with the Red Devils expires at the end of the season and a move away from the Betzenberg Stadium looks likely especially if Lautern fail to avoid relegation.
