Wolfsburg happy to let Czech Republic international move on

Hamburg have wrapped up the signing of Petr Jiracek on a four-year contract from Bundesliga rivals Wolfsburg for an undisclosed fee. Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath confirmed over the weekend that he was prepared to let Jiracek go, despite the midfielder only joining the club midway through last season. The Czech Republic international underwent a medical at Hamburg on Monday before finalising a deal until 2016 with Thorsten Fink's side. Jiracek is likely to go straight into Hamburg's squad for Saturday's trip to Werder Bremen as Fink's men look to bounce back from their 1-0 home defeat by Nurnberg on the opening weekend. The 26-year-old was part of the Czech Republic squad at Euro 2012 and scored twice in four appearances as the national team reached the quarter-finals.
