Arnesen claims club will not make any January transfers

Hamburg have ruled out a January move for injured Bayer Leverkusen and Germany goalkeeper Rene Adler. The 26-year-old is currently unavailable with a knee problem, but he is still expected to leave his club either in the winter window or at the end of the season when his contract expires. Adler's future was thrown into doubt after Leverkusen signed Bernd Leno on a permanent deal earlier in the winter. The former Germany No.1 has as a result been linked with a number of clubs, including Hamburg, but general manager Frank Arnesen has full faith in current goalkeeper Jaroslav Drobny. And the Hamburg executive told Sky Deutschland television of potential transfer activity: "I am not talking about Rene Adler. "We are not to move for any new player. We will then have a new situation in the summer, of course. There we need to see how we can make the squad stronger."
