Ruud van Nistelrooy has been recalled to The Netherlands' squad for March's Euro 2012 qualifiers against Hungary.
Coach Bert van Marwijk had initially overlooked the Hamburg striker, but he has been drafted in to replace the injured Arjen Robben, Theo Janssen and Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
Former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Van Nistelrooy will therefore be available for selection for the forthcoming European qualifying double-header.
The 2010 World Cup finalists travel to Hungary on 25th March before the return match at the Amsterdam Arena four days later.
Van Marwijk's Dutchmen are top in Group E with 12 points, three more than Hungary, after four matches.
Van Nistelrooy, 34, has twice retired from international football before reversing his decision.
