Schalke boss in the market for top talent

Schalke boss Felix Magath has attempted to steer clear of reports linking him with a move for Jorge Fucile. With speculation continuing to suggest that Germany international Heiko Westermann is on his way to Bundesliga rivals Hamburg, Schalke are believed to have already lined up a replacement. Uruguayan full-back Fucile is currently on the books of Portuguese giants Porto, but after starring at the 2010 World Cup he has found himself in demand. Valencia and Sevilla are also reported to be keen, with a fee of around £6.5million expected to be enough to strike a deal. Magath admits he is in the market for top talent, as Schalke ready themselves for a UEFA Champions League campaign, and he has already been strongly tipped to lure Real Madrid legend Raul to Germany. However, he has refused to confirm or deny whether Fucile also features on his summer shopping list. "We are looking for players with the quality to play Champions League football, that's why we are after more players like Real Madrid's Raul," Magath told BILD.
