Hamburg have completed the signing of 17-year-old defender Lennard Sowah from Portsmouth on a three-year contract.
The Bundesliga club confirmed that Sowah, who grew up in the northern German city, is joining from the Championship club on a free transfer.
Germany Under 18 international Sowah reflected on his delight at the switch, stating that he will "be able to develop further" with Hamburg.
Sowah made his breakthrough at Portsmouth last season, making five Premier League appearances for the South Coast outfit.
