Bundesliga strugglers Hamburg will be without two defensive players for up to three weeks.

Dutch midfielder Nigel de Jong and Namibian defender Collin Benjamin both face a stint on the sidelines after suffering calf injuries at the weekend.

Benjamin suffered a torn muscle fibre during the Rothosen's surprise 2-0 win at Werder Bremen on Saturday whilst de Jong picked up the same injury during training on Sunday.

The news is a major blow to new Hamburg boss Huub Stevens who would appear to have got his side back on track following successive victories over Dortmund and Bremen.

The only club never to have been out of the Bundesliga continue their relegation fight in a crucial home clash with Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
