Feyenoord duo Patrick Paauwe and Eby Smolarek are attracting interest from several Bundesliga clubs.
29-year-old Paauwe is a former skipper of the Rotterdam outfit but has been on the sidelines recently.
Pole Smolarek is on loan at Borussia Dortmund but Hamburg are one of the clubs on his trail.
"We will look what is the best option for Eby," technical director Mark Wotte told Feyenoord Krant. "There can be talked about an extension of the loan contract with Dortmund.
"Selling is another matter.
"In our eyes, Smolarek is a reliable player.
"We have the preference to loan him out, but first we will exchange ideas with the players themselves before we draw conclusions."
Hamburg have also been linked with NEC Nijmegen's Edgar Barreto.
Edwin de Graaf and Benjamin De Ceulaer are expected to be loaned out next term from Feyenoord, while Jeppe Curth, who is currently with Excelsior, has signed a new one-year contract with his parent club with an option for two more seasons.
