Bundesliga outfit Hamburg have announced that they are no longer interested in signing PSV Eindhoven winger Dennis Rommedahl.
Sport director Dietmar Beiersdorfer confirmed the news after watching the Danish international several times and holding talks with both the player and PSV.
"You have to be 100 percent certain that he is exactly the right man when you make a deal like this," he said, adding that Rothosen coach Klaus Toppmoller was of the same opinion.
The Philips Stadion outfit are believed to have wanted around é¼3 million for the 25-year-old, but Hamburg were only prepared to put half that amount on the table.
Meanwhile, Hamburg have confirmed that 21-year-old midfielder Daniel Ziebig will move to the AOL Arena from Third Division side Dynamo Dresden in the summer.
The talented left-sided player has been handed a deal until 2007.
