Andreasen ready to leave Bremen

Werder Bremen defender Leon Andreasen is ready for a 'new challenge' as he closes on a move to Fulham. The Denmark international is discussing a £3million switch to Craven Cottage and is expected to sign a three-year contract. He has spent three years with Bremen, but has not been a regular in Thomas Schaaf's plans and is keen on a switch to the Premier League. "I am looking forward to a new challenge," said Andreasen in Bild.

Desire

"The desire for a change has been with me since the summer." Bremen's sporting director Klaus Allofs has confirmed that the German side have accepted Fulham's offer for the 24-year-old. Allofs said: "The offer was attractive and Leon is not happy with us." Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has already added to his defence with the signing of Brede Hangeland and is also looking to secure deals for strikers Marlon King and Eddie Johnson.
