Borussia Monchengladbach have confirmed that they are hoping to sign Michael Delure.
Borussia Monchengladbach have confirmed that they are hoping to sign Hannover striker Michael Delure.
The 20-year-old is contracted to the AWD Arena until 2007, but received limited opportunities last season under Reds coach Peter Neururer, and the young striker could welcome a move to boost his flagging career.
New Foals trainer Jupp Heynckes coached Delura during his time at Schalke and is keen to bring the youngster to the Borussia Park.
"I can't deny that we are interested and that we have already contacted Hannover," said Gladbach sports director Peter Pander.
"We can't yet say whether we will be signing him. Everything must fit into place and there is still a lot of talking to be done."
German reports also claim that Gladbach are looking at Greek international defender Konstantinos Katsouranis.
The 26-year-old AEK Athens man is believed to be worth around é¼2.5 million, but the Bundesliga outfit are reportedly facing competition from Benfica for his signature.
