USA defender Steven Cherundolo has committed his future to Bundesliga outfit Hannover.
The 27-year-old right back had reportedly been the subject of interest from The Premiership, although he denied any contact with Bolton Wanderers.
But he has decided not to take advantage of a special contract clause that would have allowed him to leave the Reds for an English club before the end of his current deal in June 2008.
Hannover coach Peter Neururer expressed his delight at Cherundolo's decision, saying: "That's great news.
"It not only increases our tactical options on the pitch, but it is an important signal for the future of this club."
Cherundolo joined Hannover from the University of Portland in 1998 and has played an important role in establishing the club in the top flight since the club regained Bundesliga status in 2002.
