Markus Babbel: Not expected to decide his future until January at the earliest

Hertha Berlin manager Markus Babbel is ignoring the speculation about his future as talks continue with his club on a daily basis.

The former Stuttgart boss will be out of contract in the summer of 2012 and has been linked with possibly taking over Bayern Munich next season.

It is not expected Babbel will make any decision until January at the earliest and the 38-year-old will not succumb to any amount of speculation.

He told Deutsche Presseagentur: "There is no news, we simply have to bear all of this (media reports).

Negotiations

"There is no change inside my working together with general manager Michael Preetz. We are both professional men.

"It was said I would come up with a decision after the match against Nurnberg in January.

"And though the press does not know a thing, they are going to come up with rumours and gossip. This is usual business."

Babbel added: "I am discussing my situation every day. We have a good conversation as we all need to know what is going on.

"But this does not mean we are in concrete negotiations at this point in time."
