Francois Dubourdeau has travelled to Germany to undergo a trial with Hertha Berlin.

The keeper has been with Partick Thistle but he is now free to try for a move to Die Bundesliga.

Educated at Angouleme, the 24-year-old has fulfilled his obligations with Thistle and would be available on a free transfer if he can convince the Hertha officials to sign him after a one-week trial.

Coach Falko Goetz will run the rule over Dubourdeau at the Olympic Stadium.

The contracts of first-choice keeper Christian Fiedler and reserve shot-stopper Gerhard Tremmel are due to expire at the end of the season and Goetz is understood to be keen to increase the competition between the sticks for next term.
