Nurnberg have secured the future of Marvin Plattenhardt after extending the full-back's contract until the summer of 2017.
Plattenhardt's previous deal had been due to expire at the end of the season and he is highly rated at Nurnberg.
The Germany Under 21 international is confident that he is at the right club to develop after making 13 Bundesliga appearances this season.
"I am happy to be at Nurnberg," the 21-year-old told the club's official website.
"It's the place where I have been handed the chance to make my very first steps in the Bundesliga and I am sure this is the best club to develop further."
Nurnberg's general manager, Martin Bader, added: "We are happy to have agreed a new contract with Marvin.
"It's good to know he has pledged his future to our club. At this point in time, this signature is a great thing."
Nurnberg are currently second bottom in the table, with nine points from 15 Bundesliga games and are still awaiting a first win.
