Bundesliga side Hannover 96 have completed the signing of Florian Ballas on a free transfer from FC Nurnberg.
The 20-year old spent last season playing in the German fourth tier for Nurnberg's reserve side, but the club were unwilling to offer him professional terms and Hannover have taken advantage to sign him on a two-year deal.
Ballas has represented Germany at Under-19 level and Hannover general manager Dirk Dufner says he was pleased to have sealed the signing.
"We are happy to have signed Florian Ballas of FC Nurnberg," he told Deutsche Presseagentur.
"We have been impressed by his performances and feel he is a young but talented defender that has every chance to become a professional at our club."
