Bayer Leverkusen executive Michael Schade has stated that Sami Hyypia's job as manager is not under threat.
The German club have struggled both in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League in recent weeks, losing five matches in a row in all competitions.
There have been suggestions that Hyypia, who is under contract at Bayer until June 2015, could be sacked, but Schade insists that club officials have faith in the 40-year-old, who has guided his side to third in the league table after 23 matches.
"Sami Hyypia can be sure about having the support of the authorities," he told Rheinische Post.
"I am unable to believe everything is turning out to be wrong in the space of just three weeks.
"We would not feel that qualifying for the Europa League next season is a failure. It would be reaching our basic ambition.
"Anyway, we would feel sorry not to reach the Champions League for next season simply because it looked bright for us for so long this season."
