Eintracht Braunschweig have acknowledged it would be 'impossible' to sign on-loan winger Karim Bellarabi on a permanent basis.
Bellarabi is spending the season on loan at Braunschweig from Bayer Leverkusen and has scored twice in nine Bundesliga appearances to date.
He is under contract at Leverkusen until 2015, having joined the club on a free transfer from Braunschweig in the summer of 2011.
However, Braunschweig general manager Marc Arnold has conceded that trying to sign the 23-year-old permanently would be beyond the club's budget.
"It's impossible to sign him permanently," Arnold told kicker-Sportmagazin.
"Bayer Leverkusen is aware of his skills and quality. To buy a player of his quality would exceed our financial opportunities.
"He is under contract with Bayer Leverkusen, the authorities at Bayer Leverkusen believe in his talents.
"They were unable to guarantee him first-team practice. Therefore, this loan spell is the right thing for everyone."
