Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt is set to agree a new three-year deal with the club.

The 31-year-old will now remain at the Bay Arena until the end of 2009 and although not completed yet, Butt is happy his future has been sorted.

"Things are looking good, we will discuss the final details today," Butt confirmed.

"I have always said that I feel really at home here and I want to play for Bayer in Europe again soon."

The news will be a blow to Butt's understudy, German international Rene Adler, who recently signed a new contract with the club and was widely tipped to replace his team-mate next season.
