Jones makes permanent move

Eintracht Frankfurt have signed Jermaine Jones on a permanent basis.

Eintracht Frankfurt have given last year's loan striker Jermaine Jones a permanent contract.

The recently-promoted Bundesliga team have tied the former Under-21 international to a deal that will run until 2007.

Jones, who had emerged from Frankfurt's youth academy three years ago, was snapped up by Bayer Leverkusen when his hometown club were relegated into Die Bundesliga Zwei.

He failed to really establish himself at the BayArena but had a huge impact when returning to his original club in the winter of 2005 by helping the side win promotion with some important goals.

The speedy striker has now decided to terminate his contract with Leverkusen in order to seal his free transfer move to Frankfurt.
