Former Aston Villa striker Bosko Balaban is bringing the scouts flocking to Belgium.

The Club Brugge hit-man is one of the best forwards in the Jupiler League and French clubs have not been slow to realise his potential.

Paris Saint Germain and Lens are both understood to be closely monitoring the Croatia international.

It is anticipated that both Ligue 1 clubs will regularly watch Balaban in action before weighing up a bid in January.

The 26-year-old flopped badly at Aston Villa after joining the Midlands club from Dinamo Zagreb in August 2001 for £6 million.

"No-one has contacted me about Bosko, but I know there has been interest in him as he is doing very well," his agent Frank Trimboli told skysports.com a couple of months ago.
