FLAMENGO could be ready to bolster their squad by bringing in three new faces.

The Brazilian outfit are monitoring the situations of both Juan and Franca at struggling Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and are also close to sealing the return of Edilson from Japanese side Kashiwa Reysol.

Juan and Franca are both expected to leave Leverkusen if they suffer relegation this season and Flamengo president Helio Ferraz has confirmed his interest in the pair.

"It's a chance that we can have," admitted Ferraz. "Flamengo is interested in Juan.

"Now we have to find a way to make the player interested in us and also seduce the German club.

"If Bayer falls down to the Second Division, they will surely want to sell their foreign players and that's why we think that we could have Juan and Franca".

Edilson, who left Flamengo for Kashiwa last summer, is available on a free transfer after being released by the Japanese side for a breach of contract.

Ferraz is confident of securing a move for the player with just his salary and length of contract to be sorted out.

"About Edilson, everything is going in the right direction. We only have to discuss with the player his salary and how long will the contract be," added Ferraz.
