Jan Vertonghen's representatives say Bayern Munich have not been in contact about the Ajax defender but claim he has attracted 'plenty of interest' from abroad.
Bundesliga giants Bayern are thought to be targeting the highly-rated centre-back as a potential summer signing as they look to strengthen their defensive options.
Vertonghen, who has previously been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham, is out of contract with Ajax in summer 2013 and speculation has surfaced the Dutch side could cash in on him at the end of the season.
However, a spokesman from the agency that represents the 24-year-old Belgium international says Bayern are yet to get in touch.
He told Goal.com: "They [Bayern] have not contacted us. It's not the first time that I hear something about this, but I can't do much with it at this point.
"The English and German press have written stories like this before. Things will only get serious when a club approach Ajax though, and that has not happened yet as far as I know.
"However, I can reveal that there is plenty of interest from abroad."
