Bayern Munich chairman Uli Hoeness admits the club face a 'tough decision' when it comes to striking a possible deal for Takashi Usami.
The Japanese teenager joined the German giants on a season-long loan from Gamba Osaka last summer.
The 19-year-old forward has been restricted to just a handful of first-team appearances for Bayern, with the majority of his outings coming for the club's reserve side.
He has caught the eye with the second string, but Bayern remain undecided over his long-term future.
They have the option to bring Usami on board on a permanent basis in January, but Hoeness says no decision has been taken as yet regarding the highly-rated youngster.
Transfer fee
"Takashi Usami was loaned out for a year and we have the chance to buy him," he told
BILD.
"We have until the end of January to decide whether to buy him or not.
"It is a tough decision as the transfer fee involved is not small."
It is reported that Bayern will have to pay Gamba Osaka around £2.75million should they wish to secure Usami's services.
