Bayern Munich's players celebrate their late win over Bochum in the German Cup

Arjen Robben's last-gasp goal earned Bayern Munich a 2-1 win over Bochum to send them into the quarter-finals of the German Cup.

Bochum threatened an upset when Giovanni Federico gave them the lead midway through the first half.

Bayern drew level on 52 minutes when Toni Kroos fired home after a neat one-two with Mario Gomez.

The game looked to be heading to extra-time until Robben popped up with the winner in the closing seconds.

Ten-man Borussia Dortmund needed penalties to see off lowly Fortuna Duesseldorf and reach the last night.

Patrick Owomoyela was sent off for Dortmund after 34 minutes, but the Bundesliga side defended well to take the game to a penalty shoot-out and they held their nerve to prevail 5-4.

Nurnberg crashed out to Greuther Fuerth 1-0 with Edgar Prib netting the only goal of the game after just 15 minutes.

Hoffenheim got the better of fellow Bundesliga side Augsburg 2-1 to progress to the quarter-finals

Vedad Ibisevic netted the winner for Hoffenheim on 49 minutes after Torsten Oehrl (36) had cancelled out Sejad Salihovic's (23) opener for the home side.
