Bayern Munich defender Christian Lell has agreed a new two-year contract extension at the Allianz Arena.
The 22-year-old, who joined the German champions as a nine-year old and spent two seasons on loan at Cologne, will now be staying with Bayern until June 2009.
"Christian Lell has developed into a reliable and extremely important member of our squad since returning from Cologne," commented Bayern boss Felix Magath.
"I'm glad that he has decided to stay with Bayern until 2009 at least."
Lell has made five first-team appearances so far this season - three in the Bundesliga and two in the UEFA Champions League.
