Felix Magath was a happy man after watching his Bayern Munich stars cruise to an unchallenged 4-0 home win over Rapid Vienna.

The win handed the Bavarians a place in the knockout round of the UEFA Champions League and Magath was buoyed by the display.

‚Ç£I saw plenty of positive things this evening," explained Magath, who was impressed by his team's hunger for goals.

"Sebastian Deisler gave a classy performance, Bastian Schweinsteiger was excellent when thrown in for the second half and Roy Makaay scored twice.

‚Ç£We changed our ways for the better and didn't just sit back, trying to preserve a single-goal lead. Instead, we kept the pressure on, upped the tempo and created more chances.

"With a little more luck, we'd have scored a couple more."

The win saw Bayern moving back on top of Group A due to their superior goal difference, but Juventus, who managed a 1-0 win over Bayern's next rivals Club Brugge, are level on points.

Bayern skipper Oliver Kahn is keen to preserve the lead and warned his team-mates to take the trip to Brugge seriously.

‚Ç£We desperately want to end up on top of the group, so we'll have to give it 100 percent in Brugge," said Kahn.

"It would be no bad thing to be heading for the winter break knowing we'd left a world-class team like Juventus trailing in our wake. That would surely boost our confidence."
