Magath staying positive

Bayern's Felix Magath believes his side have a real chance against Chelsea.

Bayern Munich coach Felix Magath believes his side have a real chance in the 2nd leg of their UEFA Champions League clash against Chelsea.

Things looked bleak for the Bundesliga leaders at 4-1 down late on at Stamford Bridge, however Michael Ballack's last gasp penalty has left an easier challenge.

Magath is hoping star trio Roy Makaay, Claudio Pizarro and Martin Demichelis, who all missed the first leg, will be available in the Olympiastadion.

"At 4-1 we were nearly out. Now we have a good chance to turn around the replay," explained Magath.

"We had a lot of problems. [Didier] Drogba was never under control. Normally we are defensively strong.

"I hope that on Tuesday Makaay, Pizarro and Demichelis again are available. Then I am confident."

Bayern's general manager Uli Hoeness was pleased with the side's display for an hour, before Frank Lampard's double swung the tie Chelsea's way.

"At 1-1 we played very well, then we gave the play into their hands. The penalty at the end gives us a great chance in the replay," said Hoeness.

"I have admired Drogba for a long time and his performance was world class."
