The contract of the talented midfielder runs out in 2004 and Bayern have now made it clear that they do not intend to offer Feulner a new deal since even younger players, such as 19-year-old Bastian Schweinsteiger, are ahead of him in the pecking order.
"His contract won't be renewed and I won't be angry at all if he moves to 1860 Munich," declared managing director Uli Hoeness, who also hinted that the deal might even go ahead during the winter transfer window rather than next summer.
"If they really want him, we will find a solution," Hoeness added.
The 21-year-old Feulner, nicknamed 'the new Owen Hargreaves' by the local Munich press because of his likeness to the England international in terms of both haircut and playing style, appeared to be on his way to becoming a regular starter in manager Ottmar Hitzfeld's side last season.
But his progress has stalled so far this season with the emergence of Schweinsteiger and the return to first team action of long-term casualties, Mehmet Scholl and Hasan Salihamidzic.
