Stuttgart have struck a deal which will see William Kvist move to Germany from FC Copenhagen.
The 26-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with the Bundesliga outfit.
Neither club has revealed the financial details involved in the switch, but it is understood that a €3.5million (£3m) fee has changed hands.
Denmark international Kvist will officially complete his move on Thursday after undergoing a medical.
Stuttgart coach Bruno Labbadia has welcomed news of the signing, saying: "As a national team player and captain of FC Copenhagen, William brings a wealth of international experience. He will be an asset to the club."
Sporting director Fredi Bobic added: "The completion of this transfer is an important building block in our plans."
