Stuttgart's hopes of winning the Bundesliga title took a blow with the news that Arthur Boka will be missing for the rest of the season.
The Ivory Coast star was sent off during the 2-1 win over Hannover at the weekend and clashed with opposition players.
Television footage showed Boka hitting Hannover's Arnold Bruggink in the abdomen, and the German FA has come down hard on the left-back.
Boka has been handed a five-match ban and with only five games remaining this term, his season has been ended early.
Stuttgart are currently third in the Bundesliga, four points behind pace-setters Schalke, but have lost a key player in Boka.
