Bayern Munich defender Lucio says he is hoping to be fit to meet Bundesliga leaders Stuttgart on Saturday.
The 28-year-old Brazilian international has been out of action since the end of October with an ankle injury, but could be back to face in-form VfB at the Allianz Arena.
"Everything's much better and I don't have any problems. I think that I'll be able to play against Stuttgart on Saturday," Lucio told Bayern's official website.
More good news for Bayern coach Felix Magath is that both Lukas Podolski and Owen Hargreaves are making progress in recovering from their respective injuries.
Both players are expected to return to full team training later this week.
Meanwhile, Stuttgart are sweating on four players ahead of Saturday's Bundesliga showdown.
Fernando Meira, Ricardo Osorio, Sedar Tasci and Daniel Bierofka are all carrying injuries and are currently doubtful for the duel with Bayern.
