Stuttgart capture Boka

Stuttgart have snapped up Ivory Coast star Arthur Boka for an undisclosed fee.

Stuttgart have snapped up Ivory Coast international Arthur Boka for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old defender arrived for a medical late on transfer deadline day and put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal.

He had been keen to leave French outfit Strasbourg following their relegation to Ligue 2 and a reported bust-up with new coach Jean-Pierre Papin.

Boka impressed for Ivory Coast at the World Cup and Stuttgart are confident that he will thrive in Die Bundesliga.

"We have signed an international player in Arthur Boka" Stuttgart general manager Horst Heldt said on the club's official website.

"He has already proven his quality at the World Cup and in the French Ligue 1 and we are convinced that he will quickly find his feet in the Bundesliga and strengthen our side."
